William "Bill" Lockard was actually born in Colorado, but soon moved to Texas where he was raised. He started playing music in the 4th grade. He played in many bands throughout high school where he played guitar and bass. He eventually switched to drums after serving in the U. S. Marines and going to college.

Upon completion of his college education, Bill received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Therapy with a Minor in Classical Guitar. His musical roots are primarily in Rock, Blues, R&B, Country, Bluegrass and Classical Music. Like the other members of BadDogs, he plays multiple instruments, but chooses to concentrate his live performance efforts on the drums.
