In 1994, among the long line of political and tax-oppressed refugees stretching all the way from California across the Great Salt Flats of Nevada to the Colorado Rockies was one Rich Currier and family, who had decided Horace Greely was all wrong.

In early 1964, after several failed attempts to ride a guitar in the surf, Rich, a California native, decided to try playing it instead. He joined a rock & roll band shortly thereafter and played Top 40 music throughout the rest of the decade. Rich eventually joined the service in 1971.

After returning from a Government-sponsored vacation of sorts in Southeast Asia during the early '70s, he played lead guitar in a country band. It was there that he started playing pedal steel guitar, which gave the group a distinctive honkytonk flair. His next goal was to attend college.

Upon earning his business degree, Rich drifted away from music for 15 years, but his escape to Colorado in 1994 was to be the start of his own personal musical renaissance. He now has a collection of 15 instruments and a basement full of supporting gear.

He leans towards acoustic folk and early rock & roll. Rich has played blues lead guitar for local bands and has played guitar and pedal steel at several Colorado Springs' venues.

In addition to recording a CD with several great folk and bluegrass musicians and working on his song writing, Rich has managed to get together with Dave and they're rapidly perfecting their tight, two-part harmonies. For the past couple of years, the duo have been playing Ute Pass and Colorado Springs area venues. They decided in 2004 to add a rhythm section to compliment their vocals and string instruments and released their second CD, 'Sit! Stay!', shortly thereafter.
